Our staff is here to serve. We have a lighter side here at Lakepoint Law Firm and we aim to make the whole legal process enjoyable. Learn more about us by reading our bios below!
I earned my AA degree from El Camino Community College in LA in 1976 followed by my B.S. degree from Willamette University in 1979 and my J.D. degree from Willamette U in 1985. I also became a licensed realtor in 1980, worked for a federal congressman for two years and worked 6 years as a legislative aid for state representative and state senator.
I have played tennis since junior high, started my high school’s first girls tennis team (thanks to Title IX) and continue to play USTA tennis.
I am an advocate for animal rights and have rescued and helped many dogs & cats much to the chagrin of the dogs and cats I may have already had.
I have a deep faith in God and love my family more than life itself
Born and raised in Salem, I now live in Keizer with my husband Bill. With over 30 years in bookkeeping experience I joined the Lakepoint team near the end of January 2011 finding it a professional yet friendly place to work.
I love that most of my immediate family lives in town so I get to play with my two grandsons; enjoy a close relationship with my two grown daughters, my mom and dad, my husband’s six kids and 14 grand kids, my two sisters, 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 4 grand-nieces; plus an aunt, a couple of cousins, second cousins and a boat-load of spouses and significant others.
In my spare time I like visiting our cabin at Detroit lake and water skiing; serving on the Outreach Committee at my church; volunteering with Kairos Kitchen, Salem Harvest, and Marion Polk Food Share.I am a sports girl and enjoyed my years of coaching and watching my girls play competitive softball and am a die-hard fan of the Seahawks and Mariners.
Graduated from Pioneer Pacific College in April of 2002 with an Associates of Applied Science degree in legal assisting/paralegal. Hired on full time with Lakepoint Law Firm in July of 2002.
Continuing legal education seminars attended include the following: Mastering the Trial Notebook in Oregon; Trying the Automobile Injury Case in Oregon; Advanced Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Laws in Oregon; Advanced Trial Advocacy in Oregon; Advanced Cross Examination; Third Party Insurance Coverage in Oregon; Injury Biomechanics and Litigation; and Overcoming Complex Challenges in Uninsured Motorist and Underinsured Motorist Law.
I have lived in Oregon all my life. I was raised in a bilingual home and I am fluent in English/Spanish. In 2006 I began to work for the Salem-Keizer school district as an Instructional Assistant, I loved working with children but especially enjoyed reaching out to their families in community programs. In 2007, I was offered the opportunity to join a personal injury law firm as an interpreter and assistant and 6 months later, became the legal assistant in their workers’ compensation legal team. I had great mentors and education in all areas of Oregon Workers’ Compensation.
I joined Lakepoint Law Firm in April 2012 and have made myself at home with this excellent team of fighters. Advocacy is what we do!!!!
After hours, I go home to my husband and three children. We love our family time and I am working on my children also becoming fluent in Spanish.
Tyler Jean Fischer
Tyler has lived in the Salem area her whole life. Tyler Jean (who goes by TJ)enjoys spending time in the great outdoors in the Pacific NW, whether it’s hiking, playing volleyball on the beach or enjoying the fall leaves and crisp fall air. TJ also enjoys being an auntie, and spending time with family and friends frequently.
After graduating from Willamette Valley Christian School TJ joined Lakepoint Law Firm in 2013 as a receptionist, and now is a paralegal for workers compensation claims as well.
I am Betty Rubble, aka the SRD (spoiled rotten dachshund). My human mother and head of my wait staff rescued me from a ditch where I surreptitiously placed my self so as to be taken from the poor dog house to the penthouse where I rightfully belong.
Aside from my mom, I have my own office complete with a space heater, a bed, an array of chew toys and a large staff to suck up to me at all times and provide unending love and treats, especially treats, and actually I need more staff if anyone would like to apply. I do however have to work everyday at the office, helping new clients fill out their paperwork, well actually training them to fill out their paperwork and pet me at the same time.
All and all my life is difficult but rewarding and now I must go back to work after I take a nap and have several staff dote and give me treats, farewell.
